Earlier this year, Roku announced the availability of its Pro Series TVs in the United States, marking the debut of its high-end television lineup.

As of today, customers can purchase Roku Pro Series TVs both in-store and online at Best Buy. The Pro Series offers a range of sizes, including 55, 65, and 75 inches, with prices ranging from $899 to $1699.

Distinguished by their sleek design, the Pro Series TVs boast a slim profile suitable for wall mounting, with Roku also offering a Wall Mount Kit for $100. In terms of audio enhancement, these TVs feature new side-firing speakers that deliver improved sound clarity, spatial effects, and deeper bass. Additionally, they come equipped with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for an immersive cinematic experience, alongside 4K QLED displays and local dimming technology.

Alongside the Pro Series launch, Roku has announced forthcoming software updates aimed at enriching the viewing experience for all Roku TVs.

A standout feature is “Smart Picture,” which utilizes AI and machine learning to automatically optimize picture quality based on the content being viewed. For example, when watching sports, the TV switches to Sports mode, adjusting brightness and colors accordingly to deliver an optimal viewing experience.

Lei Yu, a product lead at Roku, described Roku as a Smart TV assistant that intuitively selects the best picture mode for viewers. While Smart Picture mode is enabled by default, users can customize preferences in settings, such as adjusting contrast for movie viewing.

Roku has also introduced “Backdrops,” offering decorative backgrounds to personalize the TV home screen. Users can choose from a selection of art pieces or upload their own family photos.

In the upcoming months, Smart Picture and Backdrops will be rolled out to all Roku TV models in the U.S., alongside additional enhancements to the Roku TV experience. These include IMDb ratings and trailers integrated into the details page of TV shows or movies, as well as an improved Save Lists feature with badges indicating price drops or new episodes.

Furthermore, Roku unveiled details about its second edition Voice Remote Pro, featuring a larger battery, USB-C charging, and motion-activated backlit buttons. The remote includes new buttons for quick access to the Live TV Guide and programmable shortcuts for convenient navigation.

The Voice Remote Pro is included with the Pro Series TVs and will also be available as a standalone accessory for $30. It will be offered at other major retailers in the coming months.
